Ukrainian MiG-29 pilot Marat Mambetov, commander of a flight in the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade, was killed today while on a combat mission. Mambetov was conducting missile and bomb strikes against Russian forces on one of the front lines when his MiG-29 was hit by an enemy missile. He ejected but did not survive.
