A Ukrainian Air Force captain, Marat Mambetov, was killed while on a combat mission flying a MiG-29 fighter jet. Mambetov, a pilot with the "Ghost of Kyiv" unit and a captain in the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade, was reportedly shot down by an enemy missile while striking Russian positions. He was 31 years old.
