Ukrainian military officials stated that a coordinated information attack on energy workers began simultaneously with massive strikes on the energy system. The largest company, DTEK, was reportedly the first target of this information campaign. Russia is simultaneously striking energy facilities and attempting to discredit those restoring power, according to military official Kyrylo Sazonov.

Military official Kyrylo Sazonov urged the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) to immediately identify the organizers and purpose of this information campaign.
