A report from Espreso and Memorial honors Sergeant Serhiy Matviyevskyi, who was killed on November 5, 2025, in the Pokrovsk direction of Donetsk region. He sustained a fatal wound in a firefight with the enemy. Matviyevskyi was 29 years old.

Born in the village of Mostky, Luhansk region, Matviyevskyi lived in Rubizhne and initially pursued a career in education before joining the Luhansk-1 special police battalion. He later transferred to the National Guard of Ukraine, serving with the 4th Operational Brigade and subsequently the Omega Special Operations Center. He was buried in Kyiv.
