Friday, September 18, 2026 at 04:49 PM

A Ukrainian patient named Romchik Oleksiv, who survived a previous strike in Vinnytsia, underwent his 37th operation in Lviv. He was one of six patients operated on by an international mission of doctors from Scotland, France, Switzerland, Turkey, and New Zealand. The foreign surgeons collaborated with specialists from Lviv's First Medical Association.

The mission, which took place from September 14-18, involved foreign reconstructive surgeons, traumatologists, and microsurgeons. On the first day, doctors consulted patients, and over the subsequent four days, they performed reconstructive surgeries, primarily for restoring the external ear after injuries and correcting congenital ear pathologies.
