Sergeant Andriy Nomarchuk, known by the call sign "Shlagbaum," was killed on September 10, 2024, near the village of Nelipivka in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region. He was 26 years old. Nomarchuk was born on December 4, 1997, in the village of Andriivka, Chernihiv region.

Nomarchuk joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2020, serving as a shooter and later an instructor at the "Desna" training center. With the full-scale invasion, he defended Chernihiv and in 2023 transferred to the 12th Special Purpose Brigade "Azov," where he served as a scout and later a senior mechanic-driver. His wife, Anna, described him as a person who brought light and encouragement, and they married in the summer of 2024. He was posthumously awarded the badge "For Courage in Service" and buried in his native Andriivka, where a memorial plaque was unveiled at his former school.
