Sergeant Serhiy Bychkov was killed on December 6, 2024, near Raihorodka in the Luhansk region, according to a report by Ukrinform in collaboration with the Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance and ArmyInform, the online media of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Bychkov, who had been serving since autumn 2023, was part of a missile platoon and participated in battles, reportedly covering the retreat of comrades despite being wounded.

Bychkov, originally from the Rivne region, was involved in various activities in peacetime. He was considered missing after the battle until his death was confirmed by DNA testing. He was serving in the rifle battalion's anti-aircraft missile platoon.
