Senior soldier Kostyantyn Fursuv, call sign "Kostyl", was killed on May 17, 2022, while defending the Azovstal plant and the city of Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast. He was 38 years old. Fursuv was a scout-sniper in the National Guard of Ukraine's "Azov" special forces detachment.

Kostyantyn Fursuv was born and lived in Poltava, where he initially worked as a watchmaker and owned a private construction business. He joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014 and participated in the ATO/JFO. From 2019, he served as a scout-sniper in the "Azov" special forces detachment. He was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.
