A 22-year-old soldier, Vadym Bychkov, was killed near Ozarianivka in the Bakhmut district of Donetsk region on March 21, 2025. The defender was farewelled in Zarozhne, where he lived his whole life.

The Chuhuiv City Council reported that Bychkov died defending Ukraine and that his death was a great blow to his family and fellow villagers. He is remembered as a positive and sincere young man, survived by his mother, three sisters, and two brothers.
