Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 03:02 PM
A U.S. pressure campaign against Iran has left dozens of Iranian or Iran-linked tankers stranded in Asian waters due to sanctions risks, according to the Wall Street Journal. Around 20 empty tankers are reportedly drifting near Sri Lanka, with crews facing shortages of food, fuel, and water.
The U.S. has urged Sri Lanka and other countries to deny services to these sanctioned vessels.
