Wife of Pavel Krisevich reportedly left Russia after FSB gave her three days to depart
Elena Morgunova, wife of artist and activist Pavel Krisevich, is reportedly safe with her dog Celine after a period of silence. Morgunova told SOTAvision that FSB officers gave her three days to leave Russia. Krisevich stated that while they are safe, they cannot live together yet due to immigration procedures and are seeking housing for Morgunova in France.
Morgunova stated that a young woman was also held at the temporary detention center, facing charges of financing terrorism, allegedly for leaving a paid star reaction under a Telegram post. Morgunova was detained on August 28 for phone checks, and her mother was allegedly threatened with being placed in the same cell and her dog being released if Morgunova refused to unlock her phone. She eventually unlocked it, and her mother and dog were released. Morgunova refused to unlock Telegram, leading to a 10-day arrest. She later claimed the messenger was hacked. On September 7, Morgunova was arrested again for 14 days for refusing a drug test, with an officer interpreting her request for a lawyer as a refusal.
