Yemen is launching a large-scale military operation against the Houthis with the aim of regaining control of the entire country, according to Rashad al-Alimi, head of the presidential council. Reuters reported that the operation is being prepared in conjunction with Saudi Arabia, which has been targeted by Houthi strikes.

The civil war in Yemen has been ongoing since 2014, when the Houthis seized the capital Sanaa and forced the authorities to relocate to Aden. Currently, the Houthis control a significant portion of the northwest of the country, launching attacks not only on government forces but also on Saudi Arabia's oil infrastructure.
