Yemen reports strikes on Saudi Arabia oil field, airports

Friday, October 16, 2026 at 11:03 PM

A Telegram channel reportedly claimed that Yemeni forces launched strikes targeting facilities in Saudi Arabia. Explosions were reported in Dammam following Yemeni missile impacts, and King Fahd Airport temporarily suspended operations with some flights rerouted, according to FlightRadar. Additional explosions were reported in Khamis Mushait and Abha, and an attack on the Shaybah oil field was also mentioned.

The reports indicate multiple strikes across Saudi Arabia, including on the Shaybah oil field, which is a significant production hub. The disruption to King Fahd Airport in Dammam also suggests a broader impact on civilian infrastructure.
