Yemen's Mahdi al-Mashat: Ending aggression is the shortest path to settlement
Mahdi al-Mashat, chairman of Yemen's Supreme Political Council and supreme commander of the armed forces, stated that strikes against the Saudi adversary are "measured and legitimate" and aim to force Saudi Arabia to end its aggression and blockade against Yemen. He asserted that international shipping remains safe and that Yemen adheres to its international obligations in this regard.
Al-Mashat also called on the international community to condemn the Saudi regime's actions in the Bab el-Mandeb strait, which he claimed threatens maritime security. He urged residents of occupied areas to be vigilant and not participate in Saudi plans, and advised Arab and Islamic governments not to be drawn into aggression against Yemen in the interest of an "American-Zionist project."
