Z-propagandist Viktor Baranets admitted on air that "Russian officers" shot down the Malaysian Boeing over Donbas, according to a Telegram post. Baranets stated, "Because this scum got into our sky."

The post also humorously suggested that this admission could be considered a confession and that Igor Girkin, who was previously convicted in absentia for his role in the downing of MH17, might be regretting his past actions.
