A Telegram post reports that the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) is operating without external power, and Enerhodar is experiencing communication and water problems. All six power units of the occupied ZNPP are in cold shutdown and not generating electricity. The water level in the cooling pond continues to decrease, standing at 12.55 meters at the end of August, below the approximately 15 meters required for normal operation.

The ZNPP lost external power three times in August, requiring the use of backup diesel generators. A prolonged absence of power could necessitate up to 150 tons of fuel daily. Internet outages on August 13-14 at the plant hindered monitoring and communication. In Enerhodar, residents report issues with communication, internet, electricity, and water, alongside shortages of fuel, drinking water, and food. Intelligence suggests Russian forces are increasing the information blockade and seeking to solidify control over the ZNPP.
