A Telegram channel reported that Russian forces attacked two merchant ships near Bulgaria overnight. The attack was reportedly combined. Bulgaria stated that there are currently no grounds for invoking Articles 4 and 5 of NATO.

Bulgaria's statement indicated no immediate need to activate NATO's collective defense clauses following the reported attack on merchant vessels.
